Jimmy Locke Obituary

LONE CAMP - Jimmy Quinton Locke passed away June 22, 2023 after a 2 year battle with Melanoma. He was born May 8, 1939 in Mineral Wells, Tx. His family moved to Odessa when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Odessa High School (Class of 1957).. Jimmy married Patricia Ann Sparks in 1961 and had 2 daughters, Debbie and Donna. Pat preceded him in death in 1989. He married Karen Bryant in 1994. Jimmy built Double Fuel dragsters for several years. He worked for Getty/Texaco/Chevron for 29 years and retired in 1994. He fulfilled his dream of moving to Lone Camp, TX "The Farm" after retirement in 1996. Jimmy enjoyed gardening and raising goats and cows. He was active in the Lone Camp community and was a member of Lone Camp Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Vivian Locke; bother, Timmy Locke; sisters, Nelda Beason and Julie Locke Ferguson (OHS Class of 1958). He is survived by wife, Karen Locke; daughters, Debbie Kerley and husband Mike, Donna Simmons and husband James, and Diana Ferguson and husband Jay; grandchildren, Cody Hendrix and wife Cheyenne, Brittany Roberts and husband Austin, Colt Simmons, Haley Simmons, Ashley Liles and husband Brent, Bailey Ignasiak and husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Brycen, Connor, Reilynn, Alarik, Conrad, Avery, Mikeala, and Taylor; uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Services will be Tuesday, June 27th at 2pm with visitation at 1pm at Lone Camp Baptist Church with Brother Brad Thompson officiating. Burial to follow at New Gordan Cemetery.
