JERRY LYNN ISBELL, OHS 1958

Jerry Lynn Isbell died peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 in Greeley, CO at the age of 77.
Jerry was born on April 7, 1940 in Lamesa, TX to Thomas and Bessie Isbell. He attended schools in Seminole and Odessa TX. He graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX in 1963 with a degree in Animal Husbandry. 
In 1959 Jerry married Billie Jean Holt. They had two children - Terry and Rebecca. In 1987 he married Carolyn Wernsman. They had one daughter - Courtney. 
Jerry began his career working for the Soil Conservation Service in Texas. He then moved on to Yuma, CO in 1969 to sell Gifford Hill irrigation systems. In 1973 he moved his family to Sterling CO at which time he began managing a Valley agriculture irrigation business. He then moved to Greeley CO where his dedication was to run the very best irrigation dealership possible. He owned and managed Valley Irrigation of Greeley for many years. 
Jerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
His interests included irrigation, rock collecting, arrowhead hunting and photography.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Isbell; children, Terry Isbell and wife Marijo of Hays, KS, Rebecca Kinsey and husband Bill of Wenatchee, WA, and Courtney Isbell of Greeley CO; brother, Tom Isbell and wife Marnette, of Monument, CO; and grandchildren, Morgan Kinsey, Raelee Kinsey, and Travis Isbell. 
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bessie Isbell.
A Life Celebration Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 17, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 917 10th Avenue, Greeley with a reception to follow at the church. Pastor Ken Mowery will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jerry’s life.
