ODESSA: Lou Ann Kirk Hitt, 69, passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 at her daughters' home in Highland Village, TX, surrounded by family after her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Greenville and was a retired professor from Odessa College.
Lou Ann loved life and embraced every moment with family and friends. She had an unending desire of perfection, love and care and influenced countless young lives through her work at Odessa College and Kirk's Beauty School. She truly made others better by inspiring by example. She will be missed and always remembered by the lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Norman Hitt of Odessa, her mother Ruth Kirk of Odessa, her two daughters Leslee Ann Hitt and Leesa Hitt both of Highland Village, Tx and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse D Kirk.
Memorial Services will be held in Odessa at Crossroads Baptist Church on Friday May 27 at 2:00 pm.
