ODESSA Richard Lee Slaughter, 71, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in Irving.

Memorial services are being privately held. Arrangements are by Aria Cremation and Funeral Home in Irving.

He was born in Odessa. He worked in asphalt construction.

SURVIVORS Daughter, Leah Slaughter; sons, Jonny Slaughter, Russell Slaughter and Chad Fraizer; sister, Diana French; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
