ODESSA:  Felipe Ramos Nabarrette, age 73, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Midland, TX on September 13, 1939 to the late Ray Nabarrette and Elojia (Ramos) Nabarrette. He was a welder and a member of Life Challenge Church.

 

Mr. Nabarrette loved to be around his family and was crazy about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his early days, he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He also enjoyed riding his bike.

He is survived by his wife: Gloria Nabarrette of Odessa; two sons: Leon Nabarrette and wife Priscilla and Paul Nabarrette, all of Odessa; daughter: Lucy Garcia and husband Ruben of Odessa; two brothers: Manuel Nabarrette of Tyler and Ray Nabarrette, Jr. of Odessa; four sisters: Ramona Rodriguez, Maryann Chacon, and Lupe Castillo, all of Odessa, and Rosie Wiley of Midland; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter: Ariana Nabarrette

A prayer service will be from 4:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

 

Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 20, 2012, at 10:00 am at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dan Smelser. Interment will follow at Peaceful Garden of Ector County Cemetery.
