Marilyn Wall Kindel, age 74, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, at her residence in Odessa.

She was born September 6, 1940, to James P. and Eunice Faye (Wynn) Wall in Shreveport. LA. She married Melvin Douglass Kindel on June 22, 1959. She was an office manager at a printing company, and a hostess at the Hospice House, volunteering many hours.

Marilyn was an honorary member of the Permian Basin Master Gardener Program and was highly involved, donating over a hundred hours per year until her health prevented her from organizational activities. Marilyn served as chairman over MG shirts and name tags and Hospitality, both of which she performed with unmatched flair and enthusiasm. Without a doubt, Marilyn was one of the best and most enticing spokeswomen for the Master Gardener program, encouraging many new members to join the program.

She was involved in many Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service projects but one of her favorites was the Ector Leadership Advisory Board which sponsored the annual Kids, Kows, and More event. As a Master Gardener Marilyn can't be summed up, you could say she was the hostess with the mostest, encourager extraordinaire, and a walking advertisement for the program.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

She is survived by her daughters Melanie Diane Bedrick and husband Phillip of Odessa; Melissa Faye Kindel of Midland; and Marnie Denise Davis and husband Larry of Odessa; brother Tom Wall and wife, Betty of Lake Way, TX; sister Vicki Woods and husband, Rocky of McKinney, TX; sisters-in-law Linda King and Wanda White and husband Don; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
