Donna Sue Roberts Goodwin, OHS 1957.

GOODWIN -- Donna Sue Roberts Goodwin of Sunrise Beach, TX passed away August 30, 2003 from complications resulting from a recent kidney transplant. Beloved wife of Ralph "Bud" Goodwin, she was born in 1939 in Big Spring, TX. She was raised in Odessa (OHS 1957) and attended Texas Western University (now UTEl Paso). Professionally, she represented several eye wear manufacturers in New Mexico until her retirement when she and Bud took up residence in Sunrise Beach. Active in many fields of endeavor, while here she was a Meals-On-Wheels volunteer, a member of the llano County Republican Women and the Sunrise Beach Community Church. The Goodwins have continued their church relations with the Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque. A diabetic since the age of nine, she was never known to let her physical limitations diminish her love of anyone around her. Along with her husband, she is survived by her brother, Art Roberts who lives in Austin; and her cousins, Art and Carolyn Adams of Barton Creek Lakeside, Bob and Pat Adams of Dallas; aunt, Agnes Adams of Corpus Christi; and brothers-in-law, Ken and Debbie Goodwin of West Covina, CA and Mike and Stephanie Goodwin of Littleton, CO. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, any remembrances be as contributions to either the Kidney Foundation of Texas or the American Diabetes Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland, TX at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2003.
