ODESSA High School, Odessa, TX
"CLASSES OF 1958 & 1959"
Been a tough few years. I’’m currently in remission from leukemia but had a dozen major surgeries within the last 7-8 years and covid last year. Took care of my mom in our home the last 10 years of her life and did the same for my wife for a year or so when she had multiple cancers. I prefer to take care of those I love when they need it. My wife died 31/2 years ago but I still have a hard time dealing with it and I’m often depressed although in grief counseling. Been an active church volunteer since Karen passed and that, along with family and friends, has been a blessing but I still suffer from depression.
Hope all is well with the family. Edith has dementia (since 2016); but is still at home. Talked with George Kirk yesterday not many of us left, LOL
Fred, it was good to read your achievements. You may be aware, Ed "Zeke" Barlow and I became Civil Engineers and owned our own firms. You may want to check what I am doing with my spare time. I opened The Museum of Measurement and Time in Jefferson Texas. (www.museumofmeasurementandtime.org). It is interesting to know another
OHS classmate became an engineer!
