Bobby G. Scott
ODESSA Bobby G. Scott, 61, of Odessa passed away Sunday, March 25,
2001, at a local hospital.
Mr. Scott was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Seagraves. His family moved to
Odessa in 1948 where he graduated from Odessa High School in 1958. He
attended Texas A&M and Corpus Christi State University and served in
the U.S. Marine Reserves. He married Ada Barry "Skeet" on March 13,
1981, in Odessa.
Mr. Scott had worked for Broncho Chevrolet for 19 years as a co-fleet
manager. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family at
Broncho Chevrolet and Frontier Mobile Housing.
Mr. Scott had been a member of First Baptist Church, the Odessa
Optimist Club and was past president, contributor to the YMCA and a
former member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang. He will be remembered as
a very positive person who touched many, many lives in a positive way.
He was a great husband and best friend and a wonderful father and
grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Cicley Scott and
his father, C.F. "Hoot" Gibson.
He is survived by his wife, Ada B. "Skeet" Scott of Odessa; two sons,
Mark Scott and his wife Marla of Gardendale and Matthew Scott and his
wife Angie of Odessa; two daughters, Lori Scott of Midland and Kay
Lynn Lewis and her husband Mark of Odessa; his mother, Louise Gibson
Jones of San Angelo; four brothers, Harlan Scott and his wife Linda of
Gardendale, Fred Gibson and his wife Judy of Odessa, Eddie Scott and
his wife Virginia of Lipscomb and Ronny Scott of San Diego, Calif.; a
sister, Rhonda Cutbirth and her husband Johnny of Cypress; five
grandchildren, Heather, Scott, Cliff, Hunter and MKaylee Lewis; and
numerous other family members and friends.
Public visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, March 27,
